No Contract: All prepaid plans are month-to-month or annual, requiring you to top up your balance to pay for the next period.
Nationwide Coverage: All modern plans include Freedom Nationwide coverage, meaning your services (talk, text, and data) work across Canada on both the Freedom network and partner networks, eliminating traditional "away zone" limitations.
Activation Fee: A one-time activation/connection fee (typically $10) usually applies when setting up a new prepaid line.

These plans are primarily designed for use within Canada (Nationwide), and are often available as either monthly or annual options:
- Unlimited Talk & Text: The core feature of almost all plans is unlimited Canada-wide calling and global text, picture, and video messaging.
- Monthly Data Options: A range of monthly prepaid plans are available with varying amounts of high-speed data (e.g., 10GB, 60GB, etc.), with speeds often reaching 4G LTE or 5G+ depending on the price tier.
- Annual Plans (By The Year): Designed for light to moderate data users who prefer a single payment for the entire year.
- Canada & US Plans: These plans include unlimited calling and text across Canada and the US. They provide a single, substantial bucket of high-speed data (e.g., 60GB or more) that can be used seamlessly in both Canada (Nationwide) and the United States.
